Jim McFarland was born and raised in Penticton, BC and now lives in Victoria. He studied at the Victoria College of Art and is a Signature Member of the Federation of Canadian Artists and an elected member of the Society of Canadian Artists. His paintings are held in private and corporate collections across Canada and the United States. McFarland paints both in the studio and en plein air, capturing the ever-changing light and colour of the Pacific Northwest landscape.
