Georgina was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba. An interest and aptitude for art was evident at a young age. In her early school years she won citywide poster competitions as well as being involved with designing school yearbook covers.
After completing her university degree in environmental studies and her marriage to David Hunt, Georgina moved to White Rock. This is when more time began to be devoted to her love of painting. Mainly self taught she has enrolled in a few theory courses at Emily Carr and the Vancouver Art School.
Her love of the outdoors has continued since moving west. The love of the mountain moods and the greens of the deep forest are very important. Hiking the provincial and national parks, shorelines and city parks supplies her with an unending amount of material, especially the Canadian Rockies and the west coast forests.
“The combination of nature and painting is what feeds my soul” and the goal is that others can enjoy it as well.
